Lady Injustice (Pagan Justitia) – Quarter Turn, Drops Sword – Lawless Blue Earth Co.?

Looks like some haters are lurking and stalking on Lion News, huh?

Updated: 04-06-13

Apparently the haters at the Mankato Free Press got the message, huh? Just not the whole message, right?

MANKATO — Lady Justice was turned back to her original orientation on Friday morning, though it will take perhaps a month to refabricate her 6-foot-long sword.

Workers turned the 5 1⁄2-ton, 34-foot-tall statue atop the Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse from inside the building by rotating a 6-inch pipe that runs along the statue’s back, said Tim Edwards, the county’s physical plant director. That pipe had loosened, which is what allowed the statute to be turned by the wind this week. Lady Justice regains her balance. April 5, 2013, By Dan Linehan, Free Press Staff Writer.

Why didn't the original hater author nor the hater that I spoke to the April 4, 2013 write this article, huh? It's because they were caught being haters, right? That's it, isn't it?

Lion News: Lady Injustice (Pagan Justitia) -- Quarter Turn, Drops Sword -- Lawless Blue Earth Co.?

Lady Injustice is having a bad day, isn't she?

MANKATO — Lady Justice -- the 5 1/2- ton, 34-foot-tall statue atop the Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse -- took a quarter turn to the left and dropped her sword on Wednesday, prompting county officials to restrict public access to areas below the iconic but no-longer immobile figure.

Lady Justice, huh? Let's put things into context, shall we?

Iustitia  A Roman goddess who was the personification of justice. She was equated with the Greek goddess Dike and Astraea and was sometimes referred to in inscriptions as Iustitia Agusta ("justice of the emperor"). According to legend, she once lived happily among mortals, but their wrongdoing forced her to take flight. She took refuge in the sky, becoming the constellation of Virgo. Dictionary of Roman Religion, Lesley Adkins & Roy A. Adkins. page 110.

personification  A virtue represented by a deity. A number of deities were personifications of Roman virtues, either related to the state or to the emperor. Rather than worship the emperor in his own lifetime, it was commonplace to worship his deified virtues. Dictionary of Roman Religion, Lesley Adkins & Roy A. Adkins. page 178.

Dropped her sword, huh?

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Romans 13:4

A quarter turn, huh?

And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod. 2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him. Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day. 1 Samuel 5:1-5

Remember the people who love the lie, the stupid people & the naive will be believe any ridiculous excuse, won't they?

"We believe it's weather related," Meyer [County Administrator Bob Meyer] said.

Obviously, this was County Administrator Bob Meyer's unsubstantiated opinion - completely anecdotal.

The wolves behind the sheep mask will spin any bad news into good news, won't they?

Any suspicion that Lady Justice's sudden turn and sword-toss were a reaction to a court verdict below her would be unfounded. Courtrooms were moved in 2009 to the new Blue Earth County Justice Center, about four miles away on Mankato's east side and well out of sight even from her lofty perch.  Lady Justice statue turns, drops sword, April 3, 2013, By Mark Fischenich The Free Press.

And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross. And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull. … And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. Mark 15:21-22, 37-39

It couldn't ("it's impossible" ya' know!) be the hand of God, through His Son Jesus Christ who did this "weather related" incident, could it? But somehow ("it's possible" ya' know!) the statute of the pagan goddess Justitia could do this on her own, right?

Of course, it's possible Lady Justice was just looking for a sunset vista after a long, cold winter and after more than a century of gazing toward North Mankato.  Unlike many statues of Justice, Blue Earth County's doesn't wear a blindfold. And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. 1 Kings 18: 26-27

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

Expose local corruption and seeks justice! There is no justice from a pagan goddess called "Lady Justice," is there?
